Eid al-Adha, a time of giving and gratitude, was made extra special this year thanks to your Qurbani.
We had the privilege of watching families like Lacia's and Margaret's prepare their Qurbani meat. The smell of the delicious dishes filled the air as they cooked.
Ayman, who helped distribute your Qurbani meat in Malawi, said:
"We spent the day with Lacia (who we met yesterday) and Margaret Ibrahim who invited us to their homes to watch them cook their Qurbani meat and feed their families.
They live in the same village and their children attend the school.
Margaret has six children, which she looks after by herself after her husband left 5 years ago.
The strength of these women is so inspiring, literally raising the future generations by themselves, with a little help from Charity Right!”
Margaret and Lacia's homes were filled with laughter and the bustling energy of their children.
Despite facing immense challenges, their strength and determination to provide for their families is truly heartwarming.
The joy on the children’s faces as they sat down to share the Eid meal was a beautiful reminder of the impact of your collective efforts.
Thanks to your generous donations, Eid meals reached 12,250 family members in Malawi, turning this special day into a feast of hope and happiness.
Hunger After Eid
As the festive dishes were cleared away and the celebrations wound down, a harsh reality set in.
For many families in Malawi, the days following Eid al-Adha mark the beginning of a struggle to find their next meal.
Your Qurbani has already made a huge difference, providing nutrition and much-needed days of happiness.
But the journey doesn’t end with Eid.
By continuing to support these children, you ensure they receive the regular nutrition they desperately need to grow and thrive.
Let's make every day feel like Eid for children in Malawi.
