Feed school children in Ethiopia

Assalamu Alaikum,

This Ramadan, we ask you to help us continue providing food to vulnerable school children in Ethiopia.

Our goal is to ensure at least 50 school children receive daily meals for the next year.

In an ideal world, children are equipped with the basic tools to navigate society, providing them with the space to inspire and innovate beyond the realities of destitution. However, in countries like Ethiopia, the basic human right to be educated and live a life free of poverty is stripped away. 

Child labour is a common crisis faced by the children of Ethiopia, with 85% of them being involved in manual labour today, they often encounter the risk of abuse and discrimination.

We provide the school children with nutritious meals that facilitate healthy growth and learning, with balanced levels of protein, carbohydrates, fibre and other nutrients.

The promise of a daily meal has increased school enrolment figures and improved attendance. It allows children to concentrate better, increases support for children to attend school rather than contributing to farm work or housework, and crucially, makes children happier.

This Ramadan, you have the chance to feed children like Urji and keep her in education.

£10 = 1 month of regular meals for one student

£60 = 6 months of regular meals for one student

£120 = a year of regular meals for one student

£600 = a year of regular meals for five students
