Meri & Hajra’s Hike For Palestine (Mount Snowden Edition, 16th Dec 23)

Salaams & Hello everyone! Welcome to our fundraising page! 

We are an aunty and niece duo who utilise the British outdoors to spend quality time with each other whilst also improving our fitness and getting our steps in. When Muslim Hikers announced their Mount Snowden Trek with Charity Right, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to use that much loved time to simultaneously raise funds for the children of Gaza insha’Allah.  Snowdon stands as the highest mountain in Wales, it is a symbol of strength and resilience, much like the Palestinian children we’re fundraising for.

Charity Right is an international food charity that is determined to free people from devastating hunger. Since 2016, they have provided 40million meals in 7 countries. 

Since 2014, Charity Right have been working with their partner, Hayat Yolu. This partnership has enabled them to expertly navigate obstacles on the ground and successfully deliver ongoing aid to the people of Gaza. 

At a time when the warmth of our arms cannot physically reach out to comfort them and the abundance of our kitchens cannot extend to the wonderfully inspiring children of Gaza, there is another way we can offer relief. By donating generously, we become a much-needed lifeline, a beacon of hope through the hunger, fear and exhaustion devastating the Palestinian children.

With your generous contributions, Charity Right are committed to supporting the children of Palestine now , by providing ongoing emergency aid and, in the future by establishing a school meals programme in the country. Charity Right is also Zakaat eligible, all you have to do is make sure you select the Zakaat option on donating.
