The heart is heavy, the eyes cry tears but the tongue says only that which is grateful to Allah.  Beloved parents of Javed, Afshan, Kamran, Imran, Navid – Mohammed Afzal Khan and Naik Parveen Khan left us to return to their Lord in December 2020.

Uncle Khan passed away on 2 December following a brave battle with Cancer and his beloved wife, Aunty Parveen, passed away on 30 December 2020 after contracting and bravely battling Covid 19.

Despite numerous trials relating to his health in his lifetime, Uncle Khan remained positive and patient throughout. Aunty Parveen, remained steadfast and gave all she had caring for Uncle Khan until his last day despite her own health problems.

Most of us never heard them once complain.  In this, they were the richest amongst us for they understood the true meaning of patience: ‘Patience is that the heart does not feel anger towards that which is destined and that the mouth does not complain’ (Ibn Qayyim).

Most of us will remember Uncle Khan as a larger-than-life figure who was generous to all those around him and a much-loved person in his community. May Al Akram, the One who is Most Generous, grant him His Karama in the hereafter.

We all remember Aunty Parveen as the kind, gentle and gracious figure who bought warmth and light into every gathering she entered.   We make dua that Allah SWT grant Aunty His Embrace of comfort and mercy as she warmly welcomed, embraced and fed all those who entered her home.

May they see the reward of raising 5 pious and righteous children and may Allah SWT reunite them all together again in jannah.

May their children and grandchildren continue to be a sadaqah jariyah for her and may Allah grant them ease and patience through difficult time.

May Allah SWT illuminate and widen their graves and raise their ranks.  May their trials finally be lifted and their time of ease begin.

No-one who visited Aunty and Uncle ever left their house except after eating an abundance of delicious home cooked foods and being showered by their duas.  It is therefore a befitting legacy that we help feed and educate children and enable them to learn the words of Allah as sadaqah jariyah for them.

In their memory, we are fundraising to provide children in poverty-stricken countries with daily meals as they complete their studies.  Many of the students Charity Right supports are orphans, not only studying and memorising Quran at these schools, but also living there too.

Please support them.
