Sadaqah Jariyah In Loving Memory of Samir Ashraf: Quran (Hifz) Programme
I have pledged to raise £4000 to provide meals to students, many of whom are orphans, to create a legacy on behalf of my son, Samir.
Open-ended deadline
As Salamu Alaykum (Peace be upon you),
Thank you for visiting my page, I have pledged to raise £4000 to provide regular school meals to students and orphans in Sudan.
The Prophet Muhammad (ï·º) said:
“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” [Muslim]
The name Samir means jovial, loyal or charming companion. All of these meaning encompass who he was at his core. Samir was full of joy and love and always considered those around him before himself.
What better time than Ramadan, when rewards are multiplied, to give Sadaqah Jariyah in Samir’s name – an act of charity that will continually benefit him in the Hereafter.
Please help me to reach my target to guarantee a continuing form of charity in his name but also to help the lives of so many children.
Zakat is also applicable to this project.
Charity Right’s “Quran (Hifz) Programme” feeds almost 1000 children memorising the Quran, and many of them are orphans. Many of these institutions tend to be boarding schools, so children will receive 3 meals a day.
These hot meals are central to their efforts, as they provide the physical and mental strength they need to continue their studies. Enabling their success is a never-ending form of charity for Muslims.
