Sisterhood in the Community

Thank you to all who joined us and the inspirational speaker Na’ima B Robert at this event in Barking. 

We had a fantastic time, enjoyed the lovely treats and we hope you did too! 

Alhumdulilah, many of you also pledged to support children around the world with food for an entire year. 

Please donate as much as you can and we pray that Allah accepts from all of us, Ameen.

The money we will raise will help children like 7 year old Deedar Ali.
Deedar is 7 years old and lives in Tharparker. His father works as a laborer and his mother has some physical disabilities. Deedar comes from a big family consisting of five sisters and nine brothers. When he first enrolled he had very low energy and could barely make it to school at times. He had a hard time focusing on studies.
But once he bagan receiving regular meals and healthy snacks (milk and dates) he came to life as a joyful energetic boy. He loves to wrestle and play cricket with his friends.
He has discovered a love for learning and wants to become a teacher one day.

Yet, others live a life where they are unsure of when they will have their next meal.

The Qur’an states: “Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan – it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.” 

By raising just £120 you can help feed one school child for a year and give them a chance at a better future.
