I’m supporting this amazing campaign by Charity Right to help get more girls into education with the promise of a daily school meal.

School should be for everyone, but not enough girls get this opportunity.

Too often, girls are robbed of their chance to learn. Some work to help feed the family or are married before they reach adulthood, their family desperate to find a safe, stable life for her. Education is forgotten…

When girls get an education, they literally transform themselves and their communities in later years.

How many girls do we need to support to make this dream a reality?

I’m giving myself a target of helping 200 girls; two hundred girls who will have the meals and means to stay in school, get educated and get one step closer to helping themselves and their communities.

Charity Right have an overall target of helping 1,000 girls so I want to help them get there with your support!

So what really happens when we focus on educating girls?

  1. 1. Girls who learn help their community

They can grow up to become leaders who will improve their communities. They give countries resilience to better recover from conflicts, show more concern for the environment, and reinvest 90% of earnings back into families. They invest in the future.

  1. 2. Girls who learn have healthier children

With improved understanding of healthy behaviour, educating women can save millions of their children from preventable diseases.

  1. 3. Girls who learn promote equality

Girls who learn are more equal and participate in economic and political life.

  1. 4. Girls who learn help their countries’ economy

Some countries lose out on $1 billion lost revenue by not educating their girls. If just 10% more girls go to school, some countries’ GDP could increase by 3%.

  1. 5. Girls who learn are ready for life’s problems

Educated girls have a reduced risk of malaria and are 3 times less likely to become HIV positive.
