Bangladesh Fire Emergency
On March 22nd 2021, a blaze swept the Rohingya refugee camps in Coxs Bazar, destroying thousands of homes. The fire has demolished at least 3,000 shelters, killing several people, many being young children.
Fire rescue, emergency response teams, as well as volunteers were all on the ground, trying to control it from spreading further. This is the worst fire that has swept the settlement in recent years. Having fled Myanmar in 2017, more than one million Rohingya live in the camps in Southern Bangladesh.
While 400 remain missing, up to 50,000 refugees were forced to flee once again.
Allah (SWT) said in the holy Quran: “Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved the whole of mankind” (5:32)
At Charity Right, we aim to provide immediate relief for these displaced families. By establishing food provisions within the community, we hope to deliver emergency food aid to those who have been affected.
