Feeding to Empower

I’m raising money to provide hifz children in Al Juzri Quran School, Sudan with 3 nutritious cooked meals, every day for a year.

These children are orphans and 3rd generation refugees from Sudan, suffering from malnutrition which can cause several illnesses and long term problems. Therefore, it is essential that we not only nourish their bodies, but their minds in order for them to learn, recite and memorise the Qur’an in sha Allah.

It only takes £20 to provide 3 daily meals for an entire month for one hifz child!

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “In Paradise there are apartments the outside of which can be seen from the inside and the inside of which can be seen from the outside.” A Bedouin stood up and said: “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allaah?” He said: “They are for those who speak good words, feed others, fast regularly and pray to Allah at night when people are sleeping.” – Tirmidhi, 1984
