Naeem’s Qurbani Appeal

I’m fundraising to provide Qurbani’s to families in Malawi, Ethiopia and Uyghur refugees with Charity Right this year.

Malawi 

1 in 3 people in Malawi face extreme levels of hunger. 70% of the population lives beneath the poverty line. 

Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, families are still recovering from a seven-year drought. It’s resulted in over 20 million Ethiopians facing devastating food insecurity, including 3.9 million children. 

Uyghur Refugees in Turkey

Nearly 70,000 Uyghurs have fled the cultural genocide in their homeland of Xinjiang, seeking refuge in Turkey. Though away from the dangers in China, thousands of Uyghurs are left with poor living conditions, financial insecurity and a worrying lack of food.

With millions of families on the brink of starvation, your Qurbani will provide meat to the poorest households. 

For many families, it’s the ONE time of year where they eat meat. 

Your donations to my page allows vulnerable families and orphaned children to take part in Eid celebrations. 

Your donations go far beyond sharing a meal on Eid Al-Adha…

It provides essential protein for improved nutrition while also bringing joy to the poorest families across Malawi,  Ethiopia and Turkey.

By purchasing animals from the local community themselves, it supplements their income, empowers them to support their families and strengthens the local economy. 

Ultimately, your generosity contributes towards a ripple effect of change.

‘The first thing to be done on this day (first day of Eid Al-Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices. Whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunnah.’ Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Sahih Bukhari.
