Team “Us”

At Pearls of Wisdom school, our classes 4 & 5 this year for Ramadan want to raise money to provide essential school meals to students from forgotten and neglected communities. 

Our class came up with the name Team Us because giving charity is elevating our rank with Allah and is a way to purify ourselves. In benfitting others is benefit for US and we seek that reward from Allah. 

Allah says in the Quran:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

(Surah Baqarah 2:261)

The purpose of Ramadan is to attain Taqwa (Piety) and insha’Allah this is one way we aim to achieve this. 

    “By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you give              freely of that which you love,                      and whatever you give,                             Allah knows it well”                              (Surah Ali Imraan 3:92)

By providing school meals, Charity Right is offering parents and guardians a huge incentive to send their children to school. 

Abdullah bin Amr (ra) said:

    A man asked the Prophet (SAW) “What Islamic traits are the best?The Prophet said, “Feed the people, and greet those whom                     you know and those                              whom you do not know”             [Bukhari]
