Food is their answer

A combination of conflicts and the worst drought in recent memory has left over 20 million Ethiopians facing devastating levels of hunger and food insecurity. 3.9 million children are severely malnourished, unable to even access something as basic as milk.

But food is their answer.

With regular school meals, Ethiopian children can receive life-saving nutrition, giving them the opportunity to grow up healthily.

Abshir's School Offered Him a Lifeline

Meet Abshir.

Like most eight-year-old boys, he loves playing football with his five siblings. But with his father working in another state and no money coming back home, Abshir’s mother struggled to put enough food on the table.

Food is his answer.

With regular, nutritious school meals from Charity Right, the spark has come back into Abshir’s cheeky smile. When he’s not astounding the Maths teacher, he’s either kicking a ball about with his friends while talking about his dream of becoming a doctor.
