Educating Girls, Educate an Entire Community

In honour of My Late Mother, Rabia Parkar who became an orphan at a tender age of five. She was very studious but didn't have the means to study. Despite that she educated herself....

Educating girls is key to improving families, communities, and lifelong prospects. Support girls’ education and give at least 1,000 girls hope.

“If you educate a girl, you educate a family and benefit an entire community.”

We know school meals and education help families climb out of poverty – parents can afford to send their children to school where they learn key skills to improve their prospects.

But not enough girls get this opportunity.

Too often, girls are robbed of their chance to learn. Some work to help feed the family or are married before they reach adulthood, their family desperate to find a safe, stable life for her. Education is forgotten…

But how much do we need to make this dream a reality? Although there’s far too many girls out of education, we’re giving ourselves a target of helping 1,000 girls; a thousand girls who will have the meals and means to stay in school, get educated and get one step closer to helping themselves and their communities.

Please donate to my page and help support this important campaign.

So, what happens when we focus on educating girls?

1. Girls who learn help their community

They can grow up to become leaders who will improve their communities.

2. Girls who learn have healthier children

With improved understanding of healthy behaviour, educating women can save millions of their children from preventable diseases.

3. Girls who learn promote equality

Girls who learn are more equal and participate in economic and political life.

4. Girls who learn help their countries’ economy

Just 10% more girls go to school, some countries’ GDP could increase by 3%.

5. Girls who learn are ready for life’s problems

Educated girls have a reduced risk of malaria and are 3 times less likely to become HIV positive.

£10 can provide meals to educate a girl for a whole month

£60 can provide meals to educate a girl for six months

£120 can provide meals to educate a girl for a whole year

Donate now to keep a girl in school today and help her community tomorrow.
